Also, no matter how busy you are, please, find a way to listen to this sermon he preached out Southern Seminary a couple weeks ago. Perhaps the most important sermon I have ever heard for me personally.
I love you guys!

I spent the 40 min it takes to listen to the sermon Co posted here and he was exactly right, it will most likely play a formative role in many of the decisions that all of us make over the course of the rest of our lives.
M. Chandler brings the fear of God that should be had about being a fake Christian and worse yet a fake Christian in ministry. Probably very rightly, he tells many of the people sitting in the audience at Southern Baptist Seminary that they shouldn't be there, that they should stop being fake and go glorify God instead of trying to find a comfortable job where they can fake their way through life.
We need to be expecting the normative persecution that comes along with Gospel preaching and stop discounting it as an eastern occurrence.
Thanks Co for posting this. It's a keep that I've downloaded and will probably listen to often, keeping it on my phone to have ready at a moments notice to scare me out of comfortability and apathy.
Praise God!
I'm so thankful to God that there are, and has been, so many incredibly gifted preachers in the church. My battle when I hear good preaching is to think that I would need to work and study really hard to get to that level - and this is where Chandler's point of playing your role is so apt. This role is for them - Piper, Chandler, Driscoll, Spurgeon, etc - maybe not for me. Instead of aspiring to be a Driscoll, I should aspire to be like Jesus and serve where and how He wills.
I love listening to these great preachers.
